Antimicrobial treated devices from Leviton combine the top-of-the-line quality and peak performance of our Industrial Grade AC toggle switches and stainless steel wallplates with antimicrobial additives to help keep their surfaces cleaner. By incorporating an antimicrobial additive into the product material, antimicrobial treated devices provide an extra layer of protection to our switches and wallplates. Our antimicrobial materials have been independently lab tested to internationally recognized industrial standard JIS Z 2801:2000 and proven to inhibit 99.9% of bacterial growth, even after the use of harsh cleaning agents. The devices are completely protected with antimicrobial material and their standard design allows for seamless integration into many areas to minimize intrusiveness in public applications. The antimicrobial additive in this product is a supplement to and not a substitute for regular cleaning. This product does not protect users or others against food-borne (or disease-causing) bacteria. Practices related to cleaning and disinfecting must be maintained.
